Please note, business conducted will be strictly on the understanding that our Conditions of sale are known, understood and accepted in their entirety.

~ Terms ~

Payment is due within 28 days of dispatch and should be made payable to J W Munro or by credit transfer to our bankers, Clydesdale Bank PLC, Byres Road.  The company reserves the right to charge interest of 5% above clearing bank base rates on overdue accounts and to recover all costs and charges in respect of collection of such accounts.

~ Title ~

Titles to goods invoiced transfers to purchaser only on receipt by the company of payment in full.

~ Prices ~

All prices are strictly net.  While every effort will be made to maintain prices they are subject to change without prior notification.

~ New Accounts ~

Two satisfactory trade references and bank reference must be received before a credit account may be opened.  The company reserves the right to request pro-forma payment in full for the first or any subsequent order or for specific acceptance of responsibility or guarantees.

~ Orders ~

Your Sales Representative will arrange regular visits.  You can also place orders direct by phoning or writing to Customer Service Department.  Please state clearly line codes, description, sizes and quantities of items required.  This information, together with details of our product range, can be found in our current price list.  Goods are NOT offered on a sale or return basis.

~ Deliveries ~

Orders are subject to minimum order value which may be varied at the company's discretion.  Surcharges at prevailing rates will be levied on orders below the minimum value.  Details may be obtained from the Company or your Sales Representative.  Although every effort will be made to deliver goods as ordered the Company cannot accept responsibility for delays due to circumstances beyond its control.

~ Claims ~

All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any shortage, loss or damage entered on the delivery note.  If it is not possible to open cases at the time of delivery please sign "Unexamined".  It is essential that all claims must be notified to the company within THREE working days of delivery.

~ Warranty ~

The goods shown on our price list are guaranteed, when delivered, to be of nature, substance and quality therein described, and to comply with the Food and Drinks Act and all other statutory requirements or regulations relating to the sale of food.  We cannot accept responsibility for defects caused to the pack or contents which occur after delivery due to unsatisfactory handling or storage under unsuitable conditions.

~ Force Majeure ~

The company will not be responsible for any action by a person or persons or other causes outside its control, and under such circumstances either delay or cancel an order.

~ Variations ~

Any terms or conditions of sale which the purchaser may purport to impose shall form no part of the contract between the purchaser and the company.  None of the Company's  agents or employees has any authority to bind the company by oral agreement at variance with these terms and conditions.  Any variation must be agreed in writing by J W Munro

~ Exclusion ~

While every effort is made to keep the site up to date, J W Munro accept no liability for the content of the site.
